These New Puritans resurfaces again with their new album Hidden, out on Domino. This new video is off the single We Want War. Directed by Daniel Askill, its a 7 and a half minute whopper of a video with beautiful cinematography influenced by ballistics footage.
Hidden will be out in January 2010 and features the voice of Heather Marlatt from Salem and the simulated sounds of a human head being cracked open with a hammer.
A lot of people compare these guys with the Fall but I honestly think the Fall is part of an era that has been and gone and TNP is the beginning of something totally new, twisting and challenging the whole concept of angular music and perhaps even dischord.
