Bad Panda Records have just made this previously unreleased Barzin track available for download. I like Barzin and have been listening to him for years now and have both his self-titled first album and the second full-length My Life in Rooms. I usually play them when I need some space and quiet. And his songs are very quiet, curiously comforting, slightly melancholy. Like rain on a cold Sunday morning. I love his songs about cigarettes, drugs and lost love in that whispery soft voice of his.
Read the interview and history of Barzin here.
Anyway Bad Panda said I need to include their Creative Commons thingy-ma-jig with the link so here it is. Oh, and what I found REALLY strange (and quite disconcerting actually) was that their email did not come with a “Dear Trent” or a “Hi Trent” or at least a “Hi” and a “thank you” at the end. Call me traditional but I felt like it wasn’t really nice a thing to do? =/
