Baile Funk legend, Edu K done released an EP with the people at Scattermusic just before Christmas. It’s a mega 7 track biggie with plenty of remixes to keep you goin. Ja, Mann! sees the Brazillian doing his signature percussion heavy funk carioca in a somewhat minimal style and Jumpin n Pumpin‘s (once produced under Edu K’s other alias Idiot Savant back in May 2009) got all the rave-y rio favela flavor up to maximum. You can almost hear the approving gunshots in the air.
I’ve taken a great liking to Femme En Fourrure‘s super-minimal remix. It’s real deep.

Meanwhile, Lewis CanCut‘s version has a riddim in the dancehall style, with Australia’s Mars E Pan doing the vocals-over. Jackin!
