Jori Hulkkonen‘s (aka Zyntherius) most memorable track was probably that rework of Corey Hart’s tune he did with Tiga, Sunglasses At Night. But his best work was the stuff from the Turbo Recordings released, Man From Earth. Songs like Bend Over Beethoven gave a whole new meaning to quality house music.
Of course he has gone on to do other things, like opening for Kraftwerk as the Acid Symphony Orchestra, an 11-man experimental acid technoid ensemble, most noted for using 10 Roland 303s.

This time, Hulkkonen has got a new ep coming out on Sugarcane Recordings come May 24th. I Am Dead sees Hulkkonen turning to pop, buoyed with rolling analog synths and the vocals of Jerry Valuri, making it a gorgeous, dark, dramatic 80s pop song. The ep also features remixes by Hercules And Love Affair, Who Made Who, CFCF.
