More chiptunes for you! I know Claire through a friend and we’ve been to her Printed Circuit gigs at Funder Strikes and other Cops And Robbers gigs a coupla times but we never really spoke, partly because in reality I’m a shy git. Printed Circuit is Claire’s electro music project and she’s been doing it since 1999, independently producing, writing and releasing her own stuff. It’s rave rave chiptune electro, with a bit of cheese. You need to stop being too serious to really enjoy this.

Members came and went over the years – now it’s Claire on her own again and she’s got a new ep out: Control/ Escape. Released on 1st July, Control/Escape sees Printed Circuit’s sound stripped bare, much more basic and minimal than 2006′s The Sound Of The Wonderful Technique but still with that fun / funny streak. My favorite is Chimps With Everything. God knows why the track’s got that title. All I know is towards the end there is the most unexpected Vengaboys tribute.
