white carElon Katz really freaks me out. I don’t know if its because he looks and reminds me of a twisted Patrick Bateman /  Ian Curtis hybrid incarnate or the fact that his music sounds like a child being born while at the same time suffocating to death as its mother sat, with legs wide open, wanking off to 80s snuff films. White Car is just one of Katz’s avant garde projects. Compared to LOOM 11, White Car is the tamer of the two but no less visceral.

[Video: White Car - The Bridge]

Katz makes use of chopped up technoid / EBM / Industrial riffs and effeciently and unfeelingly compartmentalizes them neatly in between disjointed gothic drones, deep demonized vocals on echo and moog stabs. Literally a sound more suited coming from Berlin than Chicago, to be honest.
As Loom 11, the soundscape is a darker, harsher nailbiting mindfuck. If you could slice open the mechanical coldness with a surgical knife you might just about touch the well hidden melancholy underneath.

I don’t know what this is doing to my psychosis but I fucking love it.
