Last week has been absolutely hectic. I was invited to the Paper Scissor Stone‘s A/W ’10 fashion show and turned up half an hour early – unintentionally. Anyway, we went in, my friend and I, nursing our free drinks and got super excited on what’s to come. The lights dimmed, the music began and the models rolled in, one by one. The brands on showcase that night were the usual favorites like Sixpack France, Dr Denim, and YMC, to my personal favorite Wood Wood, and others like B Store, Emily & Fin (whose line I have developed soft spot for) , Garbstore, Henrik Vibskov, Libertine Libertine, Luke Simon, Mini For Many, Neurotica, Rittenhouse and Won Hundred.
The women’s selection was the strongest out of the entire collection. The tulip dresses. A mix of chiffon, and jersey, classic floral prints. I like it, although Justin said the floral prints are too overdone and makes for an easy win. Nothing wrong with any of that – just that I can’t help feeling that perhaps it might be a tad too late for the colder season. I was expecting abstract prints, bold colors, and knitwear with contrast detail, or coats, the lovely but ridculously large and impractical boots, maybe even cable knit scarves.
Still, you cant please everyone. And kudos to Paper Scissor Stone for putting on a fabulous evening. Enjoyed it very much. I took hell of a lot of pictures but I’m only putting up the ones that caught my attention.
