Deerhoof is one of those kinda bands whose name just seem to float around ALOT. I don’t know. Maybe its because alot of my friends are Pitchfork / ATP freaks and are suckers for this stuff. Like how Blonde Redhead was circa a decade ago. 10 years ago I was a 15 year old kid listening to the Manics, thinking to myself what a fucking REVELATION the Holy Bible was, nevermind it being 6 years too late.
Deerhoof is the kind of band where you don’t even have to LISTEN to their music to know what they sound like. Deerhoof is the kind of band a lot of my friends aspire to be when they make music in their basements, making disjointed noises that somehow string together in a kind of weirdo-pop concoction. Deerhoof is… Deerhoof is…Deerhoof is… evil.
