The first time I wrote about Girls Names was last year when they were still a duo. Tough Love just dropped news that a new album is coming out on 25th April called Dead To Me. The album concept is “old fashioned pop” with a “haunted feel”. What they have achieved is The Cramps / The Birthday Party-style surf pop, a sound that successfully surpasses the lo-fi tag that they unfortunately got lumped with.
