It’s bound to happen. This dubstep techno hybrid. Over the months we’ve experienced the sophisticated sounds of the dubstep + house style, which then, kinda led us to the dubstep / garage-revival and then to the future garage fusions. But this dubstep techno thing is summat else altogether. First brought to my attention months ago (nearly a year ago to be precise) but I was too slow to catch on. The starter of this? Beto Narme, aka Tufan Demir from Istanbul, in Turkey.
It’s really a blend of different sounds and styles, tech-house, techno, dubstep, ambient. And it’s deep, tech-ier and so complexed and complete. Now the question is why hasn’t this blown up yet? Maybe “dubstep” is too broad a term in this sense because now it implies something that is predictable, which is what this isn’t.
Beto Narme released this ep, as I said earlier, nearly more than 10 months ago. Out via Sublime Porte Multiple Choice excellent. It’s fresh, its got substance. Honestly, get into it. Here are some of my favorites from the ep:
