I can’t judge a band I have never heard before just by listening to one song (although I know I’ve done that many times on here) so I am going to judge them by how they look: 4 pretty white guys with pretty haircuts, guitarists playing their guitars high on their chests and the drummer looking like he’s in pain / having an orgasm / crying while he plays the drums – makes for a decent 3 and half minute entertainment.
The Slowdown are from Manchester, they look like they probably go to Up the Racket or Smile at the Star & Garter on weekend nights and hang round Northern Quarter on weekend days.

So, Sex isn’t really a bad song, but I feel inappropriately teenage when I listen to it. Which is good in a sense, this young band celebrating their youth through pop music and look good doing it. And that’s all there is to say about it…. for now anyway. Lets wait for more tunes first before we start a serious post.
