I’m really digging Dark Sky’s remix of Bombay Cycle Club track “Lights Out Words Gone.” Now I want to go out on a limb here and say he’s taken and decent song and made it fantastic and that is what remixing is all about to me. No offence if you happen to love the original, it just never hit me as anything special. I liked it but didn’t love it. Dark Sky’s version has some really nice elements going on here and I’m feeling it big time. It represents everything I love in minimal electro, placing just the right baselines with the correct melodies. It doesn’t have to be complicated it just has to be right and when it comes together it’s a thing of beauty. So when you happen upon a track that achieves these elements you must celebrate it.
