Yeah, that’s the new School of Seven Bells line up. My first thought was, what happened to Claudia? And then I remembered she left like, last year. :( Sad times.
Vagrant has just hit us up with this brand new track, The Night from the upcoming album Ghostory and their signature dreamy harmonies that I feared might have been sacrificed after Claudia’s departure is still intact. Alejandra made sure of it.
The Night stays faithful to the band’s shoegaze style – the fullness of sound achieved through layers of ambience. It’s still the beautiful, hazy, indie pop that we have come to love this New York band for and, at the same time, the track is punchy and progressive, reminds me of Half Asleep from their Alpinisms album.
